The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) facilitates development in emerging markets by promoting U.S. partnerships in high priority overseas projects. The USTDA offers a wide range of opportunities for U.S. firms to apply their products, technology and expertise in the pursuit of important development objectives.

The State of California International Business Resource Page has links to its overseas offices in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America; and the California Export Finance Office (CEFO), which issues guarantees to banks securing export loans for small and mid-sized California companies. You will also find information for California businesses interested in participating in the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.

Baytrade helps companies in the greater Bay Area initiate or expand their international export activities. It has six centers including the Bay Area World Trade Center, Greater Oakland International Trade Center, Monterey Bay International Trade Association, North Bay International Trade Center, Silicon Valley Export Resource Center, and World Trade Center Sacramento. Baytrade is a project of the Bay Area Economic Forum (BAEF), which provides consulting, market support and export finance.

The Export-Import Bank of the United States is the official export credit agency of the U.S. government. Check out the new and small business section of their website for information on acquiring working capital and insurance.

The Farm & Foreign Agricultural Service of the USDA supports U.S. agricultural interests abroad in cooperation with agricultural trade associations, state-regional trade groups, small businesses, and cooperatives.

The Foreign Trade Association of Southern California is the oldest and most active trade organization in the greater Los Angeles region. Their website offers free information on customs regulations and procedures, trade links, and membership information.

The Central Coast Small Business Development Network offers services for present and potential business owners such as workshops on technology, bookkeeping, and creating a business plan.

The Inland Empire Small Business Development Network seeks to create new jobs by increasing exports from the area. In coordination with public and private resources, it provides export counseling, international marketing support, international logistics support and export financing.

The Monterey Bay International Trade Association (MBITA) is a non-profit association that promotes international business and trade in the Santa Cruz, Monterey and Salinas area. Some of the services MBITA offers include market research, export readiness assessment, and development of an international marketing plan.

The North Bay International Trade Center is a regional partnership made up of businesses, the California Trade and Commerce Agency, the Bay Area Economic Forum, the cities of Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose, and international trade associations and service providers in the Greater Bay Area. It offers trade shows promoting the products and services of local companies, and seminars on current international trade topics. This organization offers many services, such as matching the needs of North Bay companies with those of overseas buyers and distributors, export training, and developing business strategies to succeed in the international marketplace.

The Northern California World Trade Center is a private non-profit organization affiliated with more than 350 World Trade Centers around the world. Its website offers information on trade leads, links to news articles on the global market, and a free quarterly newsletter.

The U.S. Trade and Development Agency offers information and services which can help you win contracts associated with projects overseas.

The World Trade Center Association, Los Angeles and Long Beach is the Los Angeles County branch of the World Trade Center Association. It offers customized trade resources listing, a quarterly newsletter, and business matchmaking.

The San Diego World Trade is the San Diego branch of the World Trade Center Association. Its website's regular features include trade leads, market research, and trade referrals often focusing on Mexico.
