WASHINGTON, D.C. INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The Brian L. Ohleyer Internship Program
In order to process your intern application, please mail the materials listed below together, as one package to our DC office*. Only complete applications packages will be accepted for consideration.
- Cover Letter
- Resume
- Writing Sample (two page maximum)
- Three letters of recommendation (non-family members, prefferably professors or employers)
- A completed Intern Application Form and Areas of Interest List.

The writing sample should consist of a brief description of yourself, your school, what you feel you could contribute to the program, and what you hope to gain from this experience.
Please indicate the session and specific dates that you are available to intern.

* Please note that mail sent to Congressional offices in Washington, DC must go through a very lengthy screening process. Letters are not only irradiated but are also vacuumed for possible contaminated substances. Because this process often delays letters, please plan and apply early to ensure your application reaches the office in a timely manner.
